Deliciousness.

Now, if only I got the urge to actually sit and scrap, how great would that be??

I found some cool Anna Griffin papers which usually is not my thing, but these are. Love the colors. Lately I have been drawn to hot pink and orange.

Sass, Oh Sass!!! I absolutely cannot get enough of this line. Sass definitely had the best designers.

Some of these papers I want to frame and hang in Natalia's room.

My goodness, I have been such a terrible enabler lately...

Enjoy!

Just when I tought I was out, they pull me back in.

I got into these books after watching True Blood on HBO.

Needless to say, I am counting the seconds till books 8 and 9 come out in March and May respectively.

The Sookie Stackhouse series books are addictive, fun, light reads. Much better than Twilight, if I may say so.

Not for teens (definitely NOT like Twilight)...

Get them now!!! You will thank me later. For sure ;)

On an organizing kick.

Since the overwhelming amount of scrap crap I have amassed has completely killed my mojo, I decided to revisit, reduce, reorganize and purge the stuff I have.

I got rid of a lot of stamps I didn't like and so I had to redo my stamp index.
It took forever, I stained my fingers like crazy and it was pretty tedious but I love, LOVE the end result.

Now I have the urge to stamp, stamp, stamp!!!

I used to keep the sets together, but now I broke them apart into categories. Easier to find what I want.

Some flowers...

Silhouettes, birds, butterflies...

Swirls, leaves, tress...

Geometric shapes...

Large backgrounds...

Various images, tags...

Lots of labels which I love and don't use enough..

Chandeliers, lanterns, damasks...

Vintagey images, valentines & love...

Some very cool various images...

Some of my alphabets...

Without a doubt my fave scrap thing are stamps. I adore my collection and I never pass up an opportunity to add to it.

I found these two at Paperbag Studios. I love anything with numbers on it and these two had my name written all over them.

Now, I have to go use them instead of fondling them...

Go be creative.

Happy, happy mail!!!!

There is nothing better than getting that box you've been waiting for, full of delish goodies.

I hadn't shopped from Papertry Ink in a while, but this month's release was just too beautiful to resist.

Their card stock is without a doubt the best, BEST, there is. It's thick and luscious and absolutely perfect for stamping. I don't use it for scrap booking, only for stamping cards.

The colors are gorgeous too. Very hard to resist.

I got a few great colors and a kit with a sampling of their most popular colors of card stock, ink and ribbon.

Now, their ink pads, are perfection. I really like my Stampin' Up ink pads, but these are something else. Another must try.

And stamps, glorious stamps!!!!!! I'm gonna be making cards like crazy!!

I made these two super simple cards cause I could not wait to break into that kit...

OK, off to fondle my goodies some more.

Later.

Happy.

Just a couple of pics of custom orders from Handmade by ANILU.

The colors on these Swarovski crystals make my happy.

The Thooth Fairy has been calling lately.

I could not believe it when Natalia told me her tooth was wiggly. I thought it was way too soon.

Then a couple of weeks later, off comes another one, and those big beautiful ones on top are wobbly already...

She is thrilled. To her, this means she is getting older and she loved the fact that she could now be as toothless as her cousin.

So, the other day I was reading Ali Edwards' blog and I found this little gem...

The Official Tooth Fairy Kit.

It's the most gorgeous letterpress card to keep record of which teeth have fallen and when.

The little baggie to put under the pillow is just adorable.

I just got mine in the mail and it is even cuter "in person". Nothing more luscious that thick, letterpressed paper!

Would make a great gift.

Get it right.

This is the correction Creating Keepsakes mag has published online about that infamous article about my dear friend Aleida:

CORRECTION
In "Scrapbookers Making a Difference" in the February 2009 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine, we incorrectly stated that Aleida Franklin had been battling depression before her untimely death in an automobile accident. The implication was that the two items could have been connected.

The depression aspect came from online sources and should have been checked for accuracy before publication. In reality, Aleida did not suffer from depression—family and friends describe her as a vibrant, fun-loving person who lived life to its fullest even when times were hard.

Creating Keepsakes apologizes for the error. Our author's intent was to highlight a wonderful woman who touched those around her and will be missed greatly.

You can see it online here.

Too little, too late... At least now people know my sweet friend was a happy, upbeat incredible woman who died in a terribly tragic accident.

I really hope this puts an end to the gossip and drama, and to the use of Aleida's name by people who knew NOTHING about her.

Let it rest.

Get this now. You know you want to...

I had never bought anything edible from Etsy, but I saw a listing for these caramels and I just had to try them.

The store is called Have It Sweet and you can see all the other goodies they have here.

I have the biggest sweet tooth, and caramel is my fave ever, so these were calling my name.

They are made with fleur de sel, a very expensive, delicious and fancy French sea salt.

I am addicted and you will be too once you try them.

You can thank me later ;)

In a lovey dovey mood.

Since I have been mojo-less for so long, I had decided to just buy Natalia's Valentine's day cards.

But, my dear friend Barb shared her super cool new stamp with me, and I came up with this super easy, super fast card for Nati to give her pals at school.

Heart stamp is from Impress, "to:" and "from:" are Art Warehouse, letters are Martha Stewart.

I used Stampin Up's riding hood red ink.

They're 4 1/4 x 5.5" and I rounded the corners so they'd look more finished.

Natalia's right here hugging and kissing me and saying "You did a great job"... Swoon!!!!!!!!

How could I not be in a lovey dovey mood????

Circle Journal entries: Done!!!!

I finally got a little mojo and finished my entries into Anne and Greta's beautiful circle journals.
They are off to Michelle today, but I wanted to share the pages I made.

For Greta's I used two of my all time fave patterned papers...

For Anne's I used only stamps. Something I had been wanting to do for a while. I am definitely gonna be using my beautiful stamps more often...

Speaking of beautiful stamps, I got some incredibly cool vintage images and I made lots of cards with them. The light was not cooperating with me so I got only one decent pic, but you get the idea.

The ink color is Stampin Up's taken with teal.

That's all folks!

Enabler alert.

Lately I've been drawn more towards scrap tools, than paper or embellies.

I loved all of Fiskars' new border punches, but this one I HAD to have.

I can say this is my fave border punch EVER! I recieved it a few days ago and I know I'm gonna be using it a lot.

Now, this baby will be mine the exact second it's available. What a great idea!! I'm sure that coming from the peeps that gave us the Crop a Dile, this one's gonna be amazing too.

It's called the Corner Chumper and it has both sizes (1/2" and 1/4") in one, and I'm sure it's gonna go through anything like buttah!

I love making my own mini books and it's great to be able to cut through any material I chose to use as a cover.

I've tried the one made by Bind it All, but it never cuts a clean corner, so I really want this.

It will be available until in April... Why, oh why make us wait soooooooo long????

So inspired.

I have always LOVED, loved Alexis' work.

No matter what she does, I'm always blown away.

I saw this amazing frame on her blog the other day and I was yet again in love.

I never know how to use that pom pom trim I've been getting on kits and this is a perfect idea for it.

Oh, and aren't her her new Heartsong papers for Dream Street just beautiful???

I've loved every one of her collections. See them here.

What are your fave blogs to get inspiration?

Getting organized

I've been in a downsizing/purging/get organized mood lately.

I'm pretty sure the reason my mojo's been M.I.A for so long is that I get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have.

It's just too much.

So, in that spirit, here are some of the things I do to keep my things organized and at hand, so I actually see and use them...

This is an oldie but goodie. The Clip it Up. I'd get two more if I had the space for them. They are life savers.

This is another one of those brilliant buys that I truly love. Making Memories desktop carousel.

Lots of bins to keep my punches handy but contained. From Container Store ad Target.

I made an index of all my punches so I don't have to go look for them in my bins and drawers.
Size is written on top of each image.

My beautiful stamp index. A 3 ring binder where I have stamped the images of every single stamp I have. This way I just have to go through the index instead of through every huge stamp binder to know what I have.

I got this ink pad storage thingy from ebay. I. LOVE. IT. I am actually stamping more since they are right there and I can see the colors I have.
This is another one of those things I plan on getting multiples of when space permits.

Here I cut all the shapes of Nestabilities I have and attached them to a loose leaf ring. Another way to keep them at hand and quickly know what I have in order to use, use, use them!!!

The actual dies are stored in Quickutz's magnetic books.

That's it!

What do you do to keep your stash in order? Share.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Yes, I'm an enabler.

But, how could I not share this???

It's just too cute to resist. I gotta say, Martha Stewart is definitely making the best punches available. Love them all.

I've never been a heart-y stuff kind of person, but lately I'm finding lots of really cool lovey stuff. I guess the impending Valentine's Day is rubbing off on me.

These are all stamp images from Impress. My absolute fave stamp shop.

Have a lovey dovey day!
