It's digi time!!!!

Miss Dudley is back in the swing of things and she's created yet another gorgeous digi kit for After Five Designs.

I give you Digi Essentials No. 4 by Karla Dudley.

The possibilities are endless with these kits. The really are basics that you will go to time and time again.

I know I do!

Christmas mini part two: Electric Boogaloo!

Told ya' there were gonna be lots of pics.

I am very proud of my little book, so here they are...

I really enjoyed making this one since I did not even attempt to make it chronological, or use the same paper line, or worry about catching every single day of December.

The parts I want to remember are there.

It makes it less daunting and I think that's why I didn't get all worked up about it and actually finished it. For once :)

More to come soon.

Later.

Yes, I actually finished it.

Well color me surprised. I actually started AND finished my Christmas 2008 album.

I have all sorts of unfinished mini books that taunt me every time I see them. They want to be finished, but I just ignore the cries...

This time I sat on my desk and just did it. It was very Nike of me, I think.

I took pics of every single page so get ready for lots, and lots of photos.

I am gonna post some every day cause I'm afraid I'll crash my blog if I upload all of them on one post.

Here goes...

I made the cover out of Hambly's super thick transparency sheets. They are about 1/2" larger tan the actual book pages cause I want them to stay protected.

It's about 5x7" and I used all those little bits and pieces I had laying around that I really wanted to use on a page, but had been saving for that mythical project that never happens. No more!!

I have decided to use my stuff and stop saving it. More gorgeous goodies come out all the time, and if I don't start using all these things, they are going to take over my desk.

Stay tuned for part 2...

Toodles!

Thinking of her.

I think about Aleida a lot, but yesterday I found something that got me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

Some months back she was desperately looking for this Martha Stewart punch. Desperately.

Wonderful Dawn came to the scrap rescue. She found the infamous punch and sent it to her.
She was so, so happy to have found it.

Ever since then, I had been wishing to come across one of those impossible to get punches.

The other day I was browsing Martha Stewart Crafts online and lo and behold, it was back in production and in stock!!!!!!!!!

I immediately got one and I will think of her every time I use it.

Just wanted to share.

P.S: Dawn, Thanks for the links:)

This one HAS to be better than the last...

I am really glad 2008 is over and done with.
Not the greatest year for my family.

We found out my precious baby girl has type 1 diabetes and I lost my Grandma...

Not great.

But, I have to also mention the good.

My sweet Nati is doing great and we are managing her condition pretty well.

My Grandma had a wonderful life that many would be jealous of. She left me filled with the most amazing memories and life lessons that I will carry with me always.

So, here's hoping we all have a great 2009!

In the spirit of renewal that comes with a new year, I have been trying to change our apartment around. I was getting fed up with the way it was so after a few trips to Ikea...

We have a new TV/family room. I axed the never used living room and finally caved in and put a TV in there.
I have to say I really like it. We tend to be together more with this new layout and that's always good.

Before...

After...

We finally have bookcases for the hundreds of books in the house that were homeless. We still have to get more books that are still in storage.

I moved the china cabinet to the nook in the dining room...

We got a cool console for the HUGE TV I got for Christmas (!!!!). The wall is still bare cause I am planing a cool picture display for that space.

I hate that sofa, so we're looking for a replacement. I have been searching high and low for a comfy, big, and most of all gorgeous sofa.
Any idea where we could get one? Help!

I also decided this is the year I paint those awful stark white walls. We won't be moving anytime soon and I need to add some warmth and personality to my little apartment.

I still have lots of organizing to do, so...
Toodles.

After a Twilight induced brain candy overdose...

my brain has been screaming for some healthy "food".

After having it for years, I finally read East Of Eden. Wow. Definitely one of my fave books ever.
If you haven't read it, get it now. You'll thank me later.

I am now reading Wuthering Heights and got The Sound And The Fury for later.
I'll let you know my opinion once I'm done.

Can you recommend a great book? I finally have time to read and I am craving it.

Oh, before I go, here's one thing Santa forgot...

I need this NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Santa was good to me!

I'm always curious to know what Santa brought my pals so here's my Christmas loot.

He was good to me this year. I never thought a BIG TV would ever be on my list, but there it was, and here it is!!!

These super cool speakers for my iPod/iPhone are great to move all over the house so I can have my tunes with me no matter where I am.

And, a new bright orange iPod. YEAH!!!!

I had been dying to get a big chunky ring for my left hand for a while and I found this beauty on Etsy.
The artist makes all his pieces by hand and they are unique and original.
I really loved the rock and roll feel of this one and you ca never go wrong with green.

You can find his amazing work here.

What did you get? Please share!

Never too late, I say.

Since I have been loving all the December Daily albums out there, I decided to start mine.
I am gonna use it to record the stuff we did during the Holidays even if it's not every single day.

My desk hasn't looked like this in ages. It makes me happy...

It's Monday morning, so I'm off to start my day.

Later.
