I'm ba-ack!!! (***ETA***)

Hi y'all! I'm feeling much better today. I took it easy yesterday. Had lunch with Barb at delicious Panera Bread and we had a good time. I hadn't seen her in so long... Really missed her.

Yesterday was Nati's egg hunt at school. She came home with a basket full of chocolate that kept her awake until almost midnight yesterday!! She was so excited telling us about how the bunny had put the eggs in the playground... It's just so great to go through all these "firsts" with her.

If you're into monthly kits you have got to check these babies out. The first pic is Work in Progress' April kit. They had already sold out, but my friend Trish got some more goodies. Hurry, before they're gone for good. I LOVE those gorgeous 7Gypsies papers and how cool are those self inking stamps?!?!
The second pic is April's Scrapologie. I love the colors in it. Lately I'm into hot pink, lime green and aqua so this one's right up my alley. I can't wait to get it.

I also have to share the great mail day I had today. I got my Hambly from Scrapgal. The smell of vanilla you get when opening a box full of Hambly is heavenly. Gorgeous papers and overlays. I also got more stamps to feed my addiction. A set of the cutest trees from Hero Arts and the most beautiful stylized flowers by an artist I just discovered called Leigh Hannan. Last, but not least, I got some of those cute Maya Road 4x4 binder albums to make that gorgeous mini book by Ali Edwards. She was generous enough to post the instructions for free on her blog!!

Have a great weekend and please, keep me in your thoughts. There might be some major changes coming for my little family... I'll share when I know something for sure. ****ETA: I am NOT pregnant :) Different kind of change...

Ughhh...

I am not feeling good today. I woke up with an incredibly sore throat. Those kiddos at the daycare are one contagious group of little people.
So, this won't be a fun post full of pics and stuff.
Sorry... I'll be better tomorrow.

300...

OMG!!!! This movie kicks serious butt. I saw it with Juan today and we LOVED it. It is such an amazing film. If you haven't seen it, you have got to do so. Great photography, amazing story, perfect casting... Ahhh, I'm just in love with it. Definitely in my Top 10 favorite movies ever.

In scrap related news, I officially completed my CHA-W wishlist today with the aquisition of the new Hambly papers and overlays. They are to die for and in stock at both AMLT and scrapgal (see links to the right). Get it while it's available.

I can't wait for American Idol tonight and for Nik's review tomorrow! She is always spot on, and so funny!

Before I go, I have to say that April's Creating Keepsakes mag has been one of my fave issues so far. I found so much inspiration in it. Ali Edwards' Studio A is just perfect. I will be lifting quite a bit in the near future...

Cheerie-o!

The Weekend...

I spent the better part of my weekend cleaning the house. My cleaning lady decided to disappear on me without notice or explanation, so I turned into a lean mean cleaning machine. My little appartment is spotless. I really don't mind any housekeeping chores. I am such a clean freak, that I actually enjoy it. I ended up dripping from head to toe, so I also got a pretty good workout out of it.
Look at how pretty it is...

I also got into cooking mode and baked a delish strawberry crunch cake. Layers of yellow cake, meringue, fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Heavenly!! I got the recipe from the latest issue of Cooks Country. Love, love that magazine. If you like to cook it's a must have subscription along with Cooks Illustrated.

I'm off lo do some more cleaning. It's never ending...

Have a great week!

Better today...

Still feeling a bit under the weather, but better than yesterday. Juan brought me a caramel latte and scones from Panera Bread. That alone makes anyone feel good!

It's been very rainy here in Miami. I can't wait for those few weeks in April when the weather is perfect. Ahhh...

I have been organizing my growing stamp collection and I just realized I am quite obsessed with bird stamps. Yesterday I finally got those very hard hard to find BAMPOP Fatbirds stamps, so I am a happy stamper!! I have also been mass producing mini books, they are just so much fun to make. I have to say that the Bind-it -All is a fun, fun toy to play with if you like minis. I have been using mine A LOT!!

I leave you with a pic of my baby girl in braids.

Have a great weekend!!

Lookie here...

Just a pic of Nati, part of my gorgeous Hambly RAK and a LO I made last week. Let's hope I can figure out how to post pics (I did it!!). Still, I think Nik will have to give me crash course on using Blogger...
I have been feeling like hell since yesterday evening. I think Nati brought home a nasty cold from daycare and I have the worst headache ever, one of those that just won't go away. I promise to post more interesting stuff as soon as I feel better. Off to bed with my friend the heating pad...
P.S. How crazy was Lost last night?!?!?!
P.P.S Today, I have been married for 9 years... Seems like sooo much longer...LOL!

Here's to you, Michelle G...

I've had this blog for ever, as evident by the date of the only 2 posts... But, my friend Michelle suggested I start a blog and I liked the idea. I will update it every day, I really will. So, this post is dedicated to her. I hope you wil enjoy reading this.

Nati decided to stay home today 'cause she just didn't fell like playing at school. It was just too funny, so I said yes. She is in her room playing but she "visits" me from time to time.

Just finished watiching American Idol and I enjoyed it all. Even crazy Sanjaya's "performance". It was just too funny to see the little girl crying while he sang. I like to belive she was just terrified listening to him murdering such a cool song. America, it's time to send Sanjaya home!!!

I am also soooo very excited 'cause my friend Trish from Work in Progress kits, offered me a spot as guest designer in May and in either July or August. I have decided it's a sign since May is my b-day month, July is my hubby's and August is Nati's. It's gonna be so much fun, I can't wait.

OK, I think it's time to get on with my day. Lots to do here at home.

See you tomorrow!
