I got into these books after watching True Blood on HBO.
Needless to say, I am counting the seconds till books 8 and 9 come out in March and May respectively.
The Sookie Stackhouse series books are addictive, fun, light reads. Much better than Twilight, if I may say so.
Not for teens (definitely NOT like Twilight)...
Get them now!!! You will thank me later. For sure ;)

Oh no...you are "sucking" me into these. LOL! I will check them out, because you said much better than Twilight and I know how much you LOVED those. :o)
I am currently reading Book 1 and love it! But I love the show too much to want to keep reading. I don't want anything on the show to be ruined by the books. My sister says I'm nuts b/c the books are so much better!
Just finished reading book 1 last night. Your right not Twilight, although there are a few paralells, the whole mind reading thing for starters.
Twilght was all foreplay, Sookie novels get right into it,lol. I'd love someone to write something with a bit of both, now that would be a vamp novel. Waiting for the rest of the set to read. don't get the show here in Australia, will have to wait for it to come out on dvd.
