I had a good birthday! Great company, my fave food, LOTS of presents (major, major SCORE).

I am off to watch Sex and The City. YAY!!! I have been counting the seconds till today. My dad is watching Nati for me so I can go. How adorable is he??

I will show you my b-day gifts and tell you all about my incredibly FUN weekend of classes with Tim Holtz, on Monday.

It's my birthday!!

I am 36 today and I couldn't be happier. I'm off to spend the day doing what I love.

One HUGE blast form the past.

I was passing the time the other day, browsing Facebook, when I came across these pics, posted by a gal I went to junior high with in Haiti.

They took me back in a BIG way. I remember those mint colored walls like I had been there yesterday, and though they were not the happiest days of my life, they stil hold lots of cool memories.

This is where I went to school from 7th to 9th grades, before transferring to The Lycee Francais d'Haiti.






This is the head mistress and she used to terrify us all. She had the screechiest, loudest scream I have ever heard in my life. She loved me though, I was a really good student and since I was so shy, she thought I was very well behaved. Whew!



It's so hard to believe it has been more than 20 years since then...

Yikes!

They were my first love...

and what I spent my fortune on before I started scrapping.

Lately, I have been finding so many purses and shoes I love that my cash is yet again being spent on them :)

Plus, my glorious birthday is just a few days away (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!) and these beauties have have my name all over them.

Juan, if you're reading, this is NOT a hint, it's a very clear, very DIRECT, illustrated guide for you.

This fist one is a gorgeous Francesco Biasia. I am really into BIG ones right now, since I have to carry tons of extra stuff (glucose monitors, syringes, insulin vials, etc...).


And here she is in red, which I think is a beautiful neutral color.



This one I NEED for a pair of beautiful shoes I just got in that same shade of tan, plus, Marc Jacobs.... Need I say more????



Now, these are a necessity here in Miami, now that the heat is unbearable for my everyday Crocs. Summer brings with her the need for cute pedis, and I need them to show it off.


These are just cool.



That's all I have for today. I just ripped lots of pages from my scrap mags, in an attempt to get inspired and scrapping again.

I really miss it. Wish me luck finding my mojo...

Yesterday afternoon, a box full of these goodies appeared at my doorstep... Work In Progress' June kit is delicate and flowery and just lovely.

Such a great surprise!

I knew it was on it's way, but it came much sooner than I thought.

I swapped pics with the SUPER talented Janine Langer a few months ago, and I finally got the page she made for me in the mail.

I have been wanting to make one of these cute banners for ever. Since I am no god at making mini books, I though I'd make this instead, with the chipboard mini album included in this month's kit.

Natalia loved it! I hung it on her bedroom door :)

Forget that!!!!!

I am gonna pull myself together and get over it. I have received so much support from my friends and family, that the least I can do is walk it of and rub some dirt on it.

May is my birthday month and I want it to be a happy one.

My Dad is coming to visit tomorrow, and on the 15th my best friend from Mexico is coming for a visit and she's pregnant!!! I cannot wait to see them.

I am gonna be happy and try not to loose sight of all the great things I DO have in my life.

I am sorry for making you worry so much about me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the amazing messages you left for me, for the kind e-mails, the phone calls... I love you all.
