This Kid Saves Lives

As the mother of a gorgeous eleven year old girl, I am always trying to find the perfect snack to give her. Something fun and delicious, BUT that is also as healthy as can be. It's not an easy thing, lemme tell ya.

The task is made even harder since Natalia was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of four. Her nutrition being the best and healthiest it could be became paramount for me.

When This Kid Saves Lives contacted me to be their ambassador in Charlotte, I could not have been happier. A wonderful snack and an amazing organization devoted to making kids heathy and ending hunger.

Of course the heavens opened up when I bought them for Natalia and she loved them. Boom! I was one happy mama and it's been her fave snack ever since. Let me add that she is the pickiest ( x 10000) kid in the world. Oh, by the way I am addicted too!

They are gloriously gluten free, have no GMOs and contain only fair trade ingredients. There is no high fructose corn syrup (yay!) and they contain no preservatives, artificial colors or flavors. They are nut free so allergy sufferers can enjoy them freely.

They come in two delish flavors: wild berries and chocolate chip and retail for $4.99.

This amazing project was created by Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, you guys!!) and friends in an effort to make a difference in kids' lives.

They are available at select Target stores nationwide and you can also buy them online at thisbarsaveslives.com

For every box you get, they will send a children in need all over the world, a packet of Plumpy'Nut, a high energy therapeutic food developed for the treatment of severe acute malnutrition.

You definitely need to give these a try and feel amazing knowing how much good your purchase will do.
